I'VE ADDED THIS PAGE TO MY WEBSITE IN ORDER TO RECOGNIZE PEOPLE I COME IN CONTACT WITH THAT ARE NOT NECESSARILY VOLUNTEERING, BUT ARE PERFORMING THEIR JOBS IN AN EXEMPLARY MANNER OR GOING OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP OTHERS.
BY EXEMPLARY, I MEAN IN A MANNER THAT FAR EXCEEDS WHAT ONE MIGHT EXPECT AND DESERVES RECOGNITION FOR EXCELLENCE.
I COME IN CONTACT WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO ARE DOING A GOOD JOB WHILE AT WORK OR WHEN INTERACTING WITH OTHERS. THIS PAGE THOUGH IS RESERVED FOR THOSE FEW THAT GO ABOVE AND BEYOND THE TITLE OF GOOD....THESE FOLKS ARE EXEMPLARY AND SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR EXTRA EFFORTS:)

John from Auto Tech
Okay, here's the story on John....
My daughter calls me all distraught that her keys are locked in her car, due to the fact that her outside door handle has just fallen off and that particular handle is the only one that doesn't stay locked all of the time (the rest do).
Luckily her mom had a spare key, so I drove out and picked it up for my daughter.
I figured I'd just try and put it back on for her, but there were a few questions I had concerning taking off the inside door panel, so we headed out to Auto Tech (her friendly mechanics) to see if I might get a little instruction on the process.
The manager John came out and answered my questions for me, giving me some helpful hints. I then realized that my daughter was on a tight schedule because she was moving, so I asked John how long it would take, and if they might have time before they closed (it was already after 4pm) to fix the problem.
John mentioned he'd check if one of his mechanics could do it when the mechanic returned from his test drive.
Apparently the mechanic had to finish up the job he was working on, so it looked like maybe we were going to be out of luck... until John came walking out with a couple of screw drivers. Before you knew it, he had the door panel off, wires everywhere and was in up to his elbows in the job....all the while, keeping on top of the phone that was ringing in the office.
He soon realized that one of the screws to attach the handle was missing, so he went and got another one and completed the job.
As if this all wasn't enough, when I followed John back into to the office to settle up on what I owed him he said, "No charge."
Can't get more exemplary than that!!! Took time from his own responsibilities and then refused to take money for it. I was so delighted I brought the guys a couple of pizzas and some cokes later in the week....I couldn't let his random act of kindness go un-rewarded.
So, if you need some automotive help, check out Auto Tech in El Cajon. They specialize in Volvo and Saab repairs (but I'm sure they can handle just about anything) and they also sell cars from their lot or they'd be happy to locate a specific model and color for you. 619-588-5742
